Middleton Honored by ARC -- Senator Thomas Mac Middleton was
among the four legislators to receive the 2008 Legislative
Leadership Award from the ARC of Maryland during its annual awards
ceremony in May. Middleton was recognized for his work during this
year's Session for sponsoring SB 305 - the Community Services Rate
Reimbursement Commission to ensure the existence of an independent
body to make recommendations on the Community Programs COLA and
rates allowing services to keep pace with inflation and trends in
best practices. ARC's awards program honors the people who are
"Changing Minds and Changing Lives" through their work, volunteerism
and advocacy.

Since arriving in Annapolis, Mac has been a leader for
